Harmon-Valley View Project Opened in Las Vegas

“Clark County Commissioner Michael Naft and local business owners opened the $65 million Harmon-Valley View project on the Harmon Avenue bridge west of Polaris Avenue. The project connects and extends Harmon Avenue and Valley View Boulevard with several bridges and ramps over the railroad tracks there. Prior to construction, the railroad tracks interrupted these streets where they intersect. Access to the resort corridor from the west is limited by I-15 and the railroad tracks. This project provides the final link in the continuation of two important transportation corridors, Harmon Avenue and Valley View Boulevard. The first phase of the project was completed in 2004 and consisted of the bridge over I-15, which connected Polaris Avenue to Las Vegas Boulevard. The completion of this latest phase of the project is expected to alleviate congestion on Tropicana Avenue and Flamingo Road by providing another way to access the resort corridor. Harmon and Valley View are each expected to serve more than 40,000 vehicles per day by 2025. Construction on the Harmon-Valley View project began in January 2019. Las Vegas Paving was the contractor on the project.”
